What do you get for a man who has everything? Did you find everything you're looking for? Why do you think she said that? Where the hell my keys at? Would you like to have a little more? Have you ever wondered? Does it really matter? Have you been reading anything new? What am I supposed to do? Cuz everything is falling apart Everything is going to shit and The only thing I can do about it Is just sing this song. Did I ever tell you how I met your mother? Girl, can I get that number? How do you know when a painting's done? What do you like to do for fun? Did you actually have a question? What? Why? Where? Who? What does this button do? How'd you decide where to go to school? What am I supposed to do? When everything is falling apart Everything is going to shit and The only thing I can do about it Is just sing this song. Everything is falling apart Everything is going to shit and The only thing I can do about it Is just sing this song. Everything Everything Every thing Everything Everything Every thing Everything Everything Every thing Everything Everything Every thing

The longest talk we ever had Was about an hour long Then you come like the stars of a cloudy morn You were here and then you were gone You caused me to weep You caused me to moan You caused me to leave my home Now the only time I'm satisfied Is when I sing this song Don't lie to me Don't lie to me Tell me why you had to go I don't want to know I don't want to know Don't tell me I don't want to know So cold, so pale, no fair, so long Don't tell me I don't want to know Let her go, let her go God bless her Where ever she may be Let her go, let her go God bless her Where ever she may be

You talk about the world You’d like to come to pass But where you say No I’ll say Yes I wouldn’t trust you with the keys of a car with no gas So what ever you’re pushing Pass You talk like a blog It’s making me yawn As you monologue on and on At least I can say You ain’t got no sway No one cares what you think or have to say Yr a fool Yr not fooling anyone Except yourself Yr a fool Yr not fooling anyone Et cetera The struggle's real You say with a smile But you don't know an inch An inch of the mile Looking you laughing Earning those laugh lines All the while living off of somebody's dime You always get sore If someone gets more Never wondering why Or what it was for You're always first to take And make no mistake Everyone can see your concerns are faked Yr a tool Yr not helping any one Except yourself Yr no cool I wish I was by myself When I was with you Two ears to listen and One mouth to speak And you say you oughta use in the same degree Then your empty thoughts Echo out an empty head And you blurt 'em all out when You shoulda listened instead And your empty heart Echos out even more And you're speaking all louder Than you ever did before And your empty heart Echos out even more And you're speaking all louder When you should have listened more Roses are red and Violets are blue I hope you're not laughing I'm talking about you Roses from a bush and Apples from a tree Everything in this song Was written about me Yr a fool Yr not fooling anyone Except yourself Yr a fool Yr not fooling anyone Except yourself Yr a fool Yr not fooling anyone Except yourself Yr a fool Yr not fooling anyone Except yourself Yr a fool Yr not fooling anyone Except yourself Yr a fool Yr not fooling anyone Except yourself Yr a fool Yr not fooling anyone Except yourself Yr a fool Yr not fooling anyone Except yourself

If you got a secret Tell the wishing well I ain't got no secret To drop in the wishing well Feels just like a splinter At times it hurts like hell I ain't got no secret To wash in the wishing well But I want you to know I want you to know When you meet a stranger And feel em starting to cast Starting to cast their spell Whisper it in to their ear "Meet you at the wishing Meet you at the wishing well" I want you to know I want you to know I want you to know I want you to know Cross your fingers when you cross your heart Follow those who fell Got something better I gotta do Meet you at the Meet you at the wishing well I want you to know I want you to know I want you to know I want you to know

Chris Sparks and I worked together for a while Putting on punk shows at a place of no note But that was long ago I liked his name is a sentence If you were in the know Not just a punk name. It's on his I.D. We should all be so lucky He was just enough older than me That I liked him for no reason Fill in big brother when I needed another Way to be a man But he got burnt out So he quit that place But he stayed around long enough So I could take his place That meant playing chess Drinking coffee Hanging out to laugh But then he started dating someone Then that Oh that was that All of my friendship have been Like ships passing in the night Friends from proximity And just last the while But still I'm thinking of you Every once in a while With affection and remembrance For a guy I knew for a while Had more housemates Than I could ever count Coworker best friends who all but disappeared When they walked out Co-commuter coffee buddies Who liked the same bands Saw them at a show We sang with every word we know It felt like a one night stand Tried to date a girl a while But it didn't work out But we stayed real close My favorite confidante I could tell her anything And she knew what I meant But then she got a real job Than that Oh that was that All of my friendship have been Like ships passing in the night Friends from proximity And just last the while But still I'm thinking of you Every once in a while With affection and remembrance For a girl I knew for a while Chris ran into my twin And thought it was me They laughed at the mistake And they talked a little while After a while he said "Say hi for me." I saw online he has a kid And they both look pretty happy Probably never see him again Never meet that kid We should all be so lucky All of my friendship have been Like ships passing in the night Friends from proximity And just last the while But still I'm thinking of you Every once in a while With affection and remembrance For a guy I knew for a while All of my friendship have been Like ships passing in the night Friends from proximity And just last the while But still I'm thinking of you Every once in a while With affection and remembrance For a guy I knew for a while

about

Jemmy Joe Olympia, Washington

Jemmy Joe is a twin. An unreliable narrator. An acquired taste. Mixing traditional folk, jazz harmonic taste and a sardonic optimism, Jemmy Joe has been making music for no one his entire, god damn adult life. Though he has very little to show for it, it is the train he is on and will not be jumping off any time soon. ... more
